Listening
4th semester
Serials and shows
Bridgerton
I thought it would be another bad romantic Netflix show but it was totally different from what I was expecting. I fell in love with this series the moment I pressed play.
Bridgerton is an American period drama series based on Julia Quinn's novels. It's about eight close-knit siblings of the Bridgerton family who are looking for love and happiness in London high society during the season, when debutantes are presented at court.

The Big Bang Theory
TBBT is one of my most favourite shows of all time. I've seen it several times with Czech dabbing and now I'm watching it in English. What I love the most about the show is the relationship between Sheldon and Penny and how it develops throughout the time.
The Big Bang Theory is an American television sitcom about Leonard Hofstadter and Sheldon Cooper (physicists at Caltech, who share an apartment), Penny (a waitress and aspiring actress who lives across the hall) and Howard Wolowitz (aerospace engineer) and Raj Koothrappali (astrophysicist).

Films
This semester I had the Anglo-Saxon filmmaking seminar (Anglosaská filmová tvorba) where we watched 5 films: Crash, The Full Monty, Apollo 13, Carnal Knowledge, Sense and Sensibility
My most favourite of all these films is Sense and Sensibility and the least favourite is Carnal knowledge. In The Full Monty I liked the accent of the characters. I don't think we can see this accent in films a lot so I really enjoyed it.
Audiobooks
Since we had to read quite a lot for Critical reading and British Literature, instead of reading some of the stories or chapters from books, I listened to audiobooks.
Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë - I listened to the chapter 13 from Jane Eyre which we had to read for British literature.
Hard times by Charles Dickens - I listened to the chapters 1, 2 and 5 from the novel.
Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens - I listened to the chapters 1 and 2 from the book.
3rd semester
Serials and shows
Friends
I've watched Friends yet again this semester. It's a classic and I've seen it several times before. It's one of the shows I can watch over and over again and never get tired of it.
Friends is an American television sitcom. The show revolves around six friends in their 20s and 30s who live in Manhattan, New York City.
The Crown
Since I took British history, culture and literature this semester, I thought I could watch this series and see some of the important historical events in context.
The Crown is historical drama television series tracing the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her wedding in 1947 through to the present day.
Films
Enola Holmes
Enola Holmes is a mystery film on Netflix. The story is about the teenage sister of the already-famous Sherlock Holmes, who goes to London in search of her mother who has disappeared.
This film has the best cast Millie Bobby Brown (Enola Holmes), Henry Cavill (Sherlock Holmes), Sam Claflin (Mycroft Holmes) and Helena Bonham Carter (Eudoria Holmes). I like all of these actors so when the movie came out, I had to see it.
2nd semester
Serials and shows
Brooklyn nine-nine
is American police comedy series I watch on Netflix.
Stranger things
is American sci-fi horror TV series I watch on Netflix.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Miss Americana
is documentary film that follows American singer and songwriter Taylor Swift and her life over the course of several years of her career.
YouTube and podcasts
Tim's pronunciation workshop
These videos help me with pronunciation, especially now when we have to study at home and cannot go to school.
Alex Meyers
I love Alex Meyers' videos. He makes videos in a very funny way about films and shows and how stupid they actually are.
Bella Fiori
I watch her videos where she talks about solved cases and unsolved mysteries. I find it very interesting even though some of the cases are very disturbing.
KILLER INSTINCT
is a podcast by Savannah Brymer where she talks about missing people, serial killers or solved cases.
Music
I love listening to music. I do not really have a favourite artist, but my favourite genres are pop and rock.
These are some of my favourite songs of this semester:
